Snow?

so the word on the street is we may get some snow tonight in little rock!

which is a pretty big deal…

you see…in little rock it may snow once a year…(twice if the planets align just right)…and this would be the first…so we’re pretty excited around here

something funny happens to people when the weatherman says “it may snow”…all of a sudden rumors start that “there out of bread and milk at the grocery store!”…businesses and schools shut down early…it’s quite the event…

(i remember my high school closed early because they predicted snow)

it actually snowed a little earlier…if you squinted your eyes and moved your head back and forth…you could kind of see it!

don’t worry…i’ll keep you posted on the latest…

(cause i know you’re so interested)

Political Christians

Obama

With the presidential race (22 months out) already “heating up”…it provoked some thoughts. Over the last few years I’ve wondered more and more about Christians involvement in politics.

As a Christian…do you sit back and let the government go in a direction that is against what you believe?…

or

As a Christian…do you try to impose your beliefs on the whole country?

that’s a tough one…

I forgot how to play guitar…

sunday night was pretty interesting for me…

you see the service was about sin (not too fun)…but the last song was going to focus on the hope that we have in Christ…and the hope we have in His second coming…

pretty sweet…exciting…all that stuff…

the song was “sing to the king”…good upbeat song…but halfway through the first verse…i had this fear…something wasn’t right…the only thing going through my head was…

i forgot how to keep tempo…i forgot how to play guitar!

i somehow made it through the song but the whole time i thought something was really wrong with me…like mentally…

but afterward i realized all i did was start the song in the wrong strumming pattern…what a relief…embarrassing…but a relief..

(kind of reminded me of that time i began the service at refuge 1/2 step out of tune…those were the days)
