i’m not sure i’ve met someone who loves to decorate for christmas more than my wife…the good thing is…she’s really good at!..(she could work for pottery barn)
here’s our living room…

my mom’s birthday was today so we went and saw her…we also helped put up her christmas tree…

ok…so now the next post will be about the church…
i sang at a wedding

and had a birthday party…(for me)…of course i saw this as an opportunity to use my ring flash on another test run…

the next post will be on update on the church!
(so stay tuned!)

(my wife’s pretty…)
yup…today i turned 26…
(holy goo i’m old!)
[a little inside info that you guys may not have known...but i have a twin sister...no really!...her name's johnna...i'll take some shots of her and her family and introduce everyone]
usually, in my family, we had a tradition of just going out to eat somewhere nice on that person’s birthday and that was your gift…(something i always looked forward to)…
but now that i’m married, i’m learning that traditions are something you have to come to an agreement on (as well as make your own)…
in kim’s family…birthdays were big…no HUGE! they go all out! so i come home last night to see four presents wrapped for me (four?!…is it christmas?…i think i can get use to this tradition)…i’m pretty excited about opening them…
the good thing is i still get to keep my tradition of going out to eat…and my favorite place right now is a little bbq place called whole hog…(a little bit of heaven)…
—————————–
now non birthday related…i did some research online to see how i could make a ring flash for my camera…(since i’m wanting to start taking portraits)…so after a few trips to lowes…cutting of pvc pipe…and a few other things…i finally got it made!

it doesn’t look pretty but it works…

here’s what it looks like when it flashes…

and my beautiful wife graciously let me take her picture to see how it looked…it turned out well!…nice soft light…
