this was a picture i took for my father-in-law…he had a big hand in the development of this ball field in little rock so my wife thought it would be a great idea to take a picture and give it to him for christmas…
this was the final shot we gave him…

and this shot is just a quick picture i took right before christmas…(yeah i know…im a little late in posting it)

i tried to get my wife to write a post for my blog tonight…
she said no…
(she wants time to think about what to write)…
((i guarantee whatever she writes will be a heck of a lot better than what i write))
i feel bad for the lack of posting lately…i’ve been pretty busy with getting ready for christmas (our first christmas together!) so i’ve been a little scattered…
i’ve also been a little too busy to take pictures as much as i like. however, i did take a shot today that will be in the end of the year issue of arkansas business! don’t get too excited though…it wasn’t because the picture was just so amazing they couldn’t help but put it in there…it was only because one of my best friends, justin, works at arkansas business publishing group and arkansas business is one of their publications.
they were doing an article about the development in north little rock and didn’t have a picture for it. i happened to be nearby and took a quick snap they decided to use it. so thanks to justin i’m now a published photographer! (unless they cut it out at the last minute and didn’t tell me)
here was the pic though…

and my lovely wife has allowed me to continue “no shave november” to……well i guess we can call it my “christmas beard” (as long as i keep it looking clean)…after christmas i guess i’ll have to change it to winter beard…hmm

(and has anyone seen that “old navy” commercial on tv with that song that sounds like the woman is just singing stuff like “bac in for da con and for the gold in tine and get in twine” and then all of a sudden you can understand her and she starts singing “you’ve got yours and i’ve got mine”…what the heck are the lyrics to this commercial?…am i the only one that can’t understand her?…)
(remember these?)
a few days ago chris was complaining about my content on my blog. he said i need to talk about the church more…so here you go sir…
since it is advent season, each week this month we’ve focused on hope, peace, joy, and this next week, love. here are the songs we sang for joy this past week…
joy to the world
yesterday, today and forever
how deep the father’s love for us
o come, o come emmanuel
message
joyful, joyful, we adore thee
yesterday, today and forever (chorus)
going through each of these (hope, peace, joy and love) is something that we at epoch really enjoy. it’s only our second year to go through this tradition but our group was really looking forward to it.
what are some traditions your church does?
do you like or dislike them?
(at the beginning of the year we will be focusing on a certain aspect of the church. i would talk about it but i figure we should talk to the church first…(sorry…ha))
